It seems many former Sonic’s fans have held onto their jersey’s in case a team is brought back to Sea-town as they came out representing in droves to watch the first league sanctioned event since the Sonics were given away by that bastard Howard Schultz. Ok, maybe they didn’t come out in droves. More like 5 thousand people, but still.
Seattle has turned into a hot bed for hoops talent as you can see by taking a look at the roster. I wish I could have witnessed this event and seen my boy Jamal Crawford in the flesh, as he is Seattle’s favorite son, unless you count me.
Maybe if more fans showed up for this event, it would have shown the city was ready to have another team. Just like people forgot about Christian Slater’s acting career, the people of Seattle seemingly have forgotten their once beloved Sonics. How sad.
