For the second time this season, Serge Ibaka tied his career-high with 10 blocks in a game. He first did it against the Dallas Mavericks and again last night versus the Sacramento Kings.
Ibaka has really come on off late avergaing 4.8 blocks per game in the month of February and now leading the NBA averaging 3.0 blocks per game.
When the season started, this Ibaka was not really present. It’s very refreshing for Thunder fans to see Ibaka now playing at this elite level.
Ibaka combined with Nick Collison who is one of the best in the league at taking charges in the paint combine for a very formidable paint defense for the Thunder.
The Thunder disappointingly lost last night but I still feel like more and more this season we are seeing why this Thunder team is so good. The play of Ibaka will surely by integral in the Thunder’s playoff run later on this season.
