The Oklahoma City Thunder announced today that starting center Kendrick Perkins suffered a right hip muscle strain in the Thunder’s Game 4 victory in Dallas Saturday night, as confirmed by an MRI.
Perkins was injured during the first quarter of Game 4 and did not return to the game. He is currently listed as day-to-day.
With the Thunder sweeping Dallas they will have as much time off as possible before their second round series begins.
The Thunder will await the winner of the Lakers-Nuggets series. The Lakers lead the series 2-1 and will play in Denver for Game 4 Sunday night.
