Chris Bosh injury update: participated in walkthrough, back in basketball clothes

Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat hasn’t played since Game 1 of Miami’s series against Indiana in the previous round. He strained his abdomen in the first half of that game and hasn’t been given a return date yet.

Bosh is making progress though and participated in a walkthrough Friday before Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals and was seen wearing basketball clothes.

The Heat have not needed Bosh to keep winning and are up 2-0 in their series with Boston.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade have both stepped up in Bosh’s absence but the team isn’t the same without him.

The Heat will go into Boston tonight for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals again without Bosh. Only 14 teams in NBA history have come back from a 0-2 deficit and won a playoff series which is what Boston would have to do against Miami.

The Heat are still not putting a specific timetable on when Bosh will return to the floor.

While the Heat haven’t had the toughest competition in the Eastern Conference so far in the playoffs, if they do make it to the NBA Finals that will change.

The San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder have both been playing great basketball in the playoffs and would be favored against Miami even if Bosh returns.
