Miami victim of zombie, face-eating attack’s first words: ‘Go Heat’

Ronald Poppo, who had his face being eaten in Miami a few weeks ago, is apparently a supporter of the Miami Heat.

According to the Sun Sentinel

According to the the Christian Post and other media reports, Ronald Poppo, the victim of the “Miami Zombie,” is taking quite an interest in the Miami Heat’s playoff run and even said “Go Heat.”

Doctors at Jackson Memorial Hospital said Tuesday that when Poppo, 65, when was asked to make a public statement, he opted to cheer on his favorite team.

Media reports say that Poppo has asked that the television be turned off in his hospital room, save for when the Heat are playing.

The zombie victim may be on Miami’s side but a church in Oklahoma has a message for Heat fans.

Glad to see everyone so excited for this series.
