Olympic Basketball will begin early tomorrow morning with possibly the two worst teams, Tunisia and Nigeria squaring off at 4:00 a.m. EST. During the pool play in which each team will play five games, everyone will play every other day.
Team USA will kickoff their Olympic play at 9:00 a.m. EST vs. France. Every basketball game will air on either NBC or NBC Sports.
The next two games for the United States should be blowouts as they will play Tunisia on Tuesday and then Nigeria Thursday. Team USA will end their pool play with two tough tests first against Lithuania and last against Argentina.
The top four teams from each pool will advance to the single-elimination medal tournament. The one and three seeds from each pool will match up with the two and four seeds from the opposite pool once the tournament begins.
Spain is the favorite to come out of Pool B as the 1-seed while the U.S. is favored to be the 1-seed in theirs. Expect the teams in Pool B to try very hard to avoid getting the two and four seeds.
