OKC Thunder uniform rated 7th best in NBA by Uni Watch

Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE

In what is one of the biggest stories of the summer, Uni Watch has come out with their power rankings for the best uniforms in the NBA.

The Oklahoma City Thunder came in ranked 7th on the list which may be a surprise to some.

Uni Watch describes OKC’s uniform: “Very underrated. The home design is particularly strong — one of the best in the league — in large part because of the orange-and-gold trim, which really pops. The road design would probably be stronger if they put ‘City’ below the uni number instead of stacking the two words, but it still works. Sort of amazing that they haven’t come out with an ‘OKC’ alternate yet, but that’s presumably right around the corner.”

The Thunder really do need to come out with an alternate jersey soon. Now that they’ve made it to the NBA Finals, this season would be a good time to unveil some new threads.

The Boston Celtics top the list followed by the Spurs, Lakers, Warriors and Jazz to round out the top five. The Thunder are just ahead of the Heat and Knicks.

The worst uniform goes to the Sacramento Kings with the Nets, Timberwolves and Magic right behind them.

That’s surprising. I remember the lashing we took when the uniforms were first revealed. I’ve always liked the subtle, clean, and almost old school look.

Yeah I was surprised too. I’ve always heard people say they don’t really like OKC’s uniforms. They’re nothing special I guess. I’d like to see an alternate though maybe with black.
