The Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks will meet for the fourth and final time this season in Dallas at 7:30 p.m. EST.
The Thunder have won all three previous meetings this season and will look for their 50th win of the season tonight as well.
The Thunder have looked very good in their last two games averaging 113.5 points per game. OKC is averaging 113.3 points per game vs. the Mavericks this season.
Kevin Durant is averaging 37.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game vs. Dallas on the year. Russell Westbrook is averaging 23.7 points and 7.7 assists per game.
Durant, Westbrook and Serge Ibaka all scored over 20 points in the Thunder’s win two nights ago vs. the Orlando Magic. The bench of the Thunder has looked sharp as of late as well.
It’s always hard to beat a team four times in one season no matter who they are and Dallas has been getting their act together lately too, winning six of their last eight games.
The Thunder have not been at their best away from home this year either. They are just 19-13 on the year on the road compared to 30-4 at home.
It’s usually the bench and Westbrook whose production dips away from Chesapeake Energy Arena. Durant may need to have one of his bigger scoring outputs for the Thunder to win tonight, something he’s had no problem doing vs. Dallas this season.
OKC has done a great job containing Dirk Nowitzki in the season series holding him to just 12.3 points per game and 26.8 percent field goal shooting. Dirk is coming off a tough game last Friday night too in which he scored just 13 points vs. Cleveland and went 6-for-17 from the field.
The Thunder would get their third win in a row if they beat Dallas tonight and also their eighth win in nine games.
