NBA Draft 2013: OKC Thunder working out Steven Adams

One of the players picking up the most steam heading into the 2013 NBA Draft has been Pittsburgh’s Steven Adams.

Adams was extremely impressive during the NBA Draft Combine not just because of how athletic he is for his size but his ability to consistently stroke the midrange jumper.

Most people are predicting the Oklahoma City Thunder will draft a big man with the 12th overall pick in the NBA Draft and Adams’ name has been one that has been coming up.

The Thunder are even working Adams out today.

I like the idea of drafting a big with the 12th pick for the Thunder. They definitely need to replace Kendrick Perkins sometime down the road and there are a few bigs projected in this lottery that do seem to have at least some potential.

Adams is athletic and skilled enough to knock down jumpers which are two things that make him seem like a pretty good fit in OKC.

Aside from Adams, a couple of other bigs that could be good fits in OKC include Alex Len, Cody Zeller or Gorgui Dieng.
