The Oklahoma City Thunder have three picks in the upcoming NBA Draft and many people believe they will go with an international player with one of their picks that they can stow overseas.

One of the players that has been linked to the Thunder is Dario Saric of Croatia, who has been described as an international Magic Johnson.

Saric is ranked No. 11 by ESPN.com and was projected as a lottery pick. The New Orleans Pelicans, Portland Trail Blazers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks had all shown significant interest in Saric.

There are reports now that Saric may decide to withdraw from the draft and stay in Croatia another year. Saric will have until June 17 to decide.

Saric is 19 years old and averaged 15.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in the Coratian playoffs and was named the MVP of the finals.

If the Thunder are to pick Saric, they may have to do so with their lottery pick as many mock drafts have Saric getting picked as high as the early teens.

If the Thunder are to draft an international player that won’t come over right away with their lottery pick, it will really say a lot about what they think of the talent in this draft and that they are committed to Jeremy Lamb’s development.
