There have been some conflicting reports regarding the Oklahoma City Thunder’s interest in Greece’s Giannis Adetokunbo.
First, Chad Ford of ESPN.com tweeted that the Thunder and Dallas Mavericks were no longer interested in drafting Giannis in the lottery.
Teams like the Thunder & Mavs were considering taking him in the lottery. Not anymore.

Less than an hour ago, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports implied that the Thunder may still be thinking Giannis with this tweet.
Oklahoma City has to be frightening Atlanta with threat of selecting Greece’s Giannis Adetokunbo at No. 12. Hawks have long wanted him.

Giannis is not someone who is thought to be ready to come over to the NBA and play next season or soon at all. I don’t want the Thunder wasting their time with him if that is the case. There are other directions OKC can go via trades that would be much more exciting for the future prospects of the franchise.
Let Atlanta get the Greek freak a few picks later and try and do something else like trade up to go after Kentavious Caldwell-Pope or Alex Len.
It does seem like there is a great chance that the Thunder will make a trade in this draft. I really doubt Giannis getting picked in the lottery is unlikely.
