Jeremy Lamb scores 32 as OKC Thunder stay perfect in summer league

Jeremy Lamb did his best James Harden impersonation today as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Philadelphia 76ers 74-62 to improve to 4-0 in the Orlando Summer League.

Lamb scored 32 points in 34 minutes on 10-of-14 shooting from the field and 3-for-5 shooting from behind the three-point line. He did have eight turnovers though.

Lamb was fairly quiet the first few games of the summer league making closer to a third of his shots rather than the two thirds he did today.

Lamb’s ability and talent has never been questioned and today perhaps more than ever we saw just how talented he can be.

Lamb isn’t expected to be Harden right away but could he do a decent impression of him? Possibly. Lamb won’t be asked to be the Harden in Houston either. He just needs to be the Harden who was playing for OKC two years ago. That’s no small task but there is a chance he could pull it off.

Lamb was one of only two Thunder players in double-figures in the game. Steven Adams had 13 points and five rebounds in 29 minutes.

Reggie Jackson scored an Orlando Summer League record 35 points yesterday but did not play today. Perry Jones and Daniel Orton also remained sidelined today.

The Thunder have two more games left in the summer league and will be off tomorrow.
