Video: Kevin Durant, James Harden say they miss playing together

As if we haven’t brought it up enough already, here is a video via Grantland of Kevin Durant and James Harden talking about how they miss playing together.

Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose ask the questions and Simmons, who has been very critical of the Harden trade, brings up how that Thunder team when Harden was on it felt like a fraternity of young guys.

You can tell even from this interview nearly a year from the trade that KD and Harden do really miss playing together. Just in their voices you can kind of feel the pain and probably frustration that they don’t have that chance anymore.

Even though they are now rivals, and have already met against each other in the playoffs this past season, they still seem close and say the talk and text each other all of the time.

For me, I just get sad every time I think about the trade and see these guys together. It really was such a special group and that image of KD, Harden and Russ arm and arm on the sideline when they lost in the Finals was supposed to be what the future was going to look like.
