Kevin Durant names his all-time starting five on ESPN's SportsNation

Kevin Durant joined Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley on ESPN’s SportsNation yesterday to answer 10 questions.

Durant didn’t look too excited to be on the show as his energy was low even by his standards.

One of the most interesting questions he was asked was to name is all-time starting five.

Here is what Durant picked:

PG – Magic Johnson
SG – Michael Jordan
SF – Larry Bird
PF – Hakeem Olajuwon
C – Shaquille O’Neal

Durant also went on to say that MJ was the best of all-time.

The shocker for me was when Durant went Hakeem at power forward. Now, Durant was put on the spot here but Hakeem is surprising since he really was a center (not that it’s impossible to fathom him as a PF).

It’s also interesting that Durant leaves LeBron off the list and goes with Bird instead. We know how much Durant likes Bird, he’s spoken very highly of him before and Bird is a player that KD tries to pattern his game after in a lot of ways.

The Magic, MJ and Shaq picks all make a ton of sense.

During the rest of the interview, Durant pretty much did his thing where he doesn’t say anything controversial. When asked about other teams in the league, Durant said he is just focusing on himself and his team and not worried about anything else.
