Kendrick Perkins accused of punching a woman in Houston

It’s being reported today that Kendrick Perkins has been accused of punching a woman in Houston.

Kendrick Perkins, who lives in Tomball and plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder, posted a $1,000 bond Thursday morning on the misdemeanor assault charge.

His brother-in-law, Quincy Alpough, faces the same charge.

According to court documents, the incident happened back in July outside the Nox nightclub in the 4700 block of Nett.

The case was initially dismissed, but Perkins and Alpough were charged when it was re-filed.

Here is a statement from Sam Presti:

“We were made aware of the allegations and take this matter seriously. We are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment at this time.”

We don’t know very much at this point, but usually things like this take a long time to develop so not sure if Perkins will be missing any time soon.

We will keep you up to date on all of the latest news on this story.

So… does Perk have some “Conduct Unbecoming…”-type of clause in his contract that could void the contract?

Not wishing ill on anyone, but if Perk gets the same treatment as DeAundre Liggins… does the Thunder all of a sudden have $9MM freed up for 2013-14?

I’m sure Presti knows what to do…
    1. Call Orton back (for his $900K)
    2. Go sign a high dollar 3-pt shooter. Maybe even one that plays the point.
    3. (Optional) Trade Perry Jones. He deserves his shot in the league,,, but he’s not gonna find it in OKC. Maybe get another trade exception.

BTW – tick tock tick tock… those two trade exceptions that we have in our pocket already expire after 24 months. Trade for Kobe? Get Harden back? Why not???? Let’s Go CRAZY!!!!
