Yesterday, we found out that Kendrick Perkins was being accused of assault during an incident back in July.
Today, Perkins’ attorney released a statement saying that the Oklahoma City Thunder center is innocent:
“Kendrick Perkins did nothing wrong, and I am confident that he will be exonerated,” said Matt Hennessy. of DeGuerin, Dickson, Hennessy & Ward. “my client takes these charges very seriously. He is a respectful and kind person and is anxious to address these charges for the sake of his family and his team. We will defend these allegations vigorously in court.”
NewsOK is also reporting that Perkins missed practice on Thursday afternoon.
The start of the season is a little over two weeks away now. As these events unfold, we will start to get a better idea of how this could impact Perkins with the Thunder.
