Kendrick Perkins will miss the next two games of this season due to a death in his family.

In Perkins’ place starting at center for the Thunder, will be rookie Steven Adams, who has been very impressive in the early goings this season.

Adams had his best game two games ago on the road vs. Detroit when he totaled 17 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks. Adams was quieter in the Thunder’s last game vs. the Wizards going for just one point, two rebounds and two blocks in 20 minutes.

Adams will have his hands full tonight on the road vs. the Los Angeles Clippers, going up against the frontline of DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin.

I think we’re all excited to see Adams get as many opportunities as possible. He has exceeded anyone’s expectations and I feel like we can have confidence that he will continue to improve.
