Thabo Sefolosha missed the last three games with a knee injury, but is returning to the starting lineup tonight for the Oklahoma City Thunder when they host the Orlando Magic.
Rookie Andre Roberson started in place of Sefolosha over the last three games, all of which were won by the Thunder. Roberson averaged 3.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 17.7 minutes per game. Roberson basically started so the Thunder could maintain their rotation. He also got a lot of those minutes in the fourth quarter of blowouts.
The biggest thing Sefolosha will bring back to the Thunder lineup tonight is outside shooting, although Sefolosha has struggled from deep this season, shooting just 30.6 percent. But he is a threat and Roberson wasn’t.
Roberson played great defense in the last three games and showed a lot. He has such a great knack as a rebounder, especially on the offensive end, and his athleticism fits in very nicely with the rest of the Thunder roster.
Sefolosha is averaging 6.4 points and 4.2 rebounds in 26.7 minutes per game this season.
The Thunder are taking on the Orlando Magic tonight at home at 6 p.m. CST.
