NBA All-Star Reserves Announced: Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka left off

The reserves for the 2014 All-Star Game were announced tonight live on TNT.

In the Western Conference, there were not too many surprises since there are so many deserving players, but there were definitely some snubs as well.

Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka both were not selected for the Western Conference. Westbrook’s injury was the only thing that held him back and Ibaka just has so much competition to deal with among other power forwards in the conference.

Here are the reserves for each conference, as voted on by the coaches of each conference:

Western Conference
LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland Trail Blazers
Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers
Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers
Tony Parker, San Antonio Spurs
James Harden, Houston Rockets
Dwight Howard, Houston Rockets
Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks

Eastern Conference
John Wall, Washington Wizards
Paul Millsap, Atlanta Hawks
Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls
Roy Hibbert, Indiana Pacers
Joe Johnson, Brooklyn Nets
Chris Bosh, Miami Heat
DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors

As a reminder, here are the starters that were voted on by the fans:

Western Conference
Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder
Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers
Kevin Love, Minnesota Timberwolves

Eastern Conference
Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers
Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat
LeBron James, Miami Heat
Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks
Paul George, Indiana Pacers

Kobe is the one starter who may be injured for the game so there is a good chance another player from the Western Conference will make the team to replace him.
