NBA2K15: Will Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook be rated 90+?

It has been rumored that only four players in the new installment of the NBA2K franchise will be rated over 90. Which makes you start to think – just who will be the lucky four?

NBA2K15 isn’t far away from being released, but fans are being treated to little tidbits of information every few days or so, to keep gamers enthused and to let them know just what to expect when the game finally drops. I recently did a piece predicting the ranking all the Oklahoma City Thunder players . How accurate will that be?

With only four players earning such a high ranking, two spots are instantly crossed off the list. LeBron James and the reigning MVP Kevin Durant. Both these guys should be at the higher end of the 90’s and this might be the year KD actually edges out LBJ as the best player in the game (and THE game). So who are the last two “top ranked” players likely to be?

Oklahoma City Thunder fans might be biased (as am I) but I think one of them HAS to be Russell Westbrook. Russ is like a video game come to life when he is on the court and that translates exceptionally well in the video game world. His athleticism, on top of his skill level makes him an obvious choice, as well as the fact he is one of the better rebounding point guards in the league.

Last year, Russell Westbrook was rated 91. There were a number of players rated in the 90’s last year though, so a number will also have to make way. Chris Paul scored a 94 and Derrick Rose was listed as a 92 to kick things off – you would think both will be lower than last years mark. While Rose will have to prove his fitness, Paul is the other interesting case. His passing ability and all around game (steals, points etc) could be worthy of a 90+.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have two of the NBA’s top 10 best players in Durant and Westbrook and it looks like they might have two of the top four players in NBA2K15 as well.
