Welcome to Views from OKC, Thunderous Intentions’ daily roundup of the best OKC Thunder stories across the web.

New to Views? Glad to have you here, and I hope you’ll make this a daily destination. Well, let’s get started!

I didn’t even realize the it got this bad…

“Russell Westbrook sat down for good midway through the third quarter while Oklahoma City was in the midst of missing 24 consecutive shots – yes, 24! – to trail Washington by 34 points — yes, 34! — as Bradley Beal and John Wall carried the Wizards to a stunningly lopsided 120-98 victory over the Thunder on Monday night.”

Wow that was not a fun game to watch. Any shooting statistic from the Thunder’s side is bad. They missed 24 shots in a row in between the second and third quarter. They shot 17-50 on uncontested shots. Washington’s three-point percentage was close to double the Thunder’s field-goal percentage. Let’s move on from this one.

Must Read: Loud City helps propel Russell Westbrook to greatness

The perfect description of Sam Presti’s near-impossible job

“Foundations must run deep into the ground to last, to be able to withstand acts of nature that man cannot forsee. There must be flexibility so that great torque does not snap the structure in half.”

The day that Sam Presti leaves the Thunder is the day I fear I will never see a championship in Oklahoma City. Presti was able to build a team with a solid foundation built to compete even though Kevin Durant left. These guys are young, and they have a couple years to grow up together and build an unparalleled team chemistry. It was incredible team planning by Presti.

I love this. I don’t see it as “let a person like KD in your life leave.” I see it as “let the KD in you leave.” Even though he made an all-time idiotic public perception move, KD still cares what we all think of him. But once you let that need to be liked go away, you can be truly happy. Russell Westbrook could care less what we think of him. And although I don’t enjoy some of his bone-headed plays, I respect the heck out of that man for shutting everything out.

I also love this. Don’t ever give up information to the enemy. What if Enes Kanter could magically come back Wednesday? THAT would be amazing. OKC is 6-8 without Kanter, including blowout losses to the Wizards, Spurs, Warriors and Cavs. The Thunder absolutely need Kanter to compete with the best teams in the league; without him the second-unit can’t keep up.
