Film Festival is a new player series, where we imagine ourselves couching up with Thunder players in the film room  to see what went well and what went wrong this season. Today, we start with the main man Taj Gibson.

Film Festival breaks down 10 players’ best and worst moments for the season. The first installment of this series goes to none other than Taj Gibson.

If a player has any highlight play, like a miraculous full court bank shot or an embarrassing Shaqtin fumble, then this would be the place to go through them.

But, by and large, these film sessions focus on breaking down each player’s best tactical contributions. The criteria is simple – we are looking for moments or games where the player has either exceeded expectations or completely fallen short of them. These expectations are based on two factors: what the team needs of them, and what are their personal strengths.

That makes sense, doesn’t it. Victor Oladipo being aggressive and hunting for his own shot means a different thing for the team from Russell Westbrook being selfish.

With that, we start by breaking down the ever-popular Taj Gibson and his game.
