Happy Tuesday, OKC Thunder fans! Welcome to your OKC Thunder daily in the news column, where we serve up topical stories about your favorite team.

Today’s offerings include another update about Enes Kanter’s birthday surprise. Plus, Victor Oladipo’s has a new philanthropic effort, and the MVP award grows closer.

Enes Kanter Update Part Two:

Well, he’s back on American soil! Enes Kanter returned to the United States after his passport was revoked and he found himself trapped in a Romanian airport. On Monday morning, he spoke to the media, recounting his experience. According to ESPN:

"“Right now I am country-less,” Kanter said at the National Basketball Players Association headquarters in Manhattan. “I am open to adoption definitely…I have a green card. We will see if they can speed up the process a little bit. It would definitely be nice. Right now my next move is becoming an American citizen.”"

So, are any other fans trying to file adoption papers right now. Or, just me?

Victor Oladipo Gives Back:

OKC Thunder player Victor Oladipo joins the ranks of NBA players who turn to philanthropy in the off-season. This June, Oladipo is set to host his first annual basketball camp in Greenwood, IN. To spread the word, he shared this tweet on Monday:

Oladipo, who attended Indiana University, is offering one-on-one competitions, photos, hands-on instruction, and more.

Russell Westbrook, MVP?

By now, you probably know that Russell Westbrook is among three finalists for this year’s MVP award. Though we won’t know who won the award until next month, Thunderous Intentions writer Tamberlyn Richardson suggests:

"“Ultimately, Russell Westbrook’s ridiculous accomplishments are enough to garner the award. But, the OKC Thunder’s super star ability to shine when the spotlight was pointed at him likely will lead to him becoming the 2016-17 Most Valuable Player.”"
