3. Oklahoma City got an endorsement from Kevin Durant.

Say what you will about Kevin Durant, but he did say some great things about Oklahoma City. The Sports Illustrated article written by Lee Jenkins depicts Paul George quoting Durant in saying: “This city will blow you away.

To be fair, that’s exactly what Oklahoma City has done the last two days. From the fans waiting at the airport to the celebration at his press conference. Oklahoma City spared no expense in letting George know he’s wanted here in OKC. He’ll join Westbrook as a hero to this small market NBA franchise. He could see his jersey retired here along with Westbrook and Nick Collison.

When Durant said what he said about this city, it was almost his way of apologizing for leaving last year. While many in Oklahoma City have not forgotten about Durant leaving and the way he did, this is a nice way to begin the repair process.
