Well, we’ll try to explain it anyway. For starters, he broke away from his usual short-sleeve shirt look and went with the long sleeves. More pattern for the flatterin’! What is that pattern? It’s very 50s-ish, and it looks like people running around acting zany in bright colors. It actually conjures memories of the Catch Me If You Can intro credit sequence. For some it would be too busy, but for Russ he’s just getting busy.

Can he handle the Heat? Apparently so. The bigger question is can the Heat handle him? And can we handle his post game get-ups? We say keep em comin’. After all, sports are entertainment and it’s always fun to see what he ends up rocking after games.

Speaking of the Heat, their stars answered with pink, plaid and of course, you got, glasses. All four superstars (Durant, too) wore four eyes to the presser.

Say what you will about Russell Westbrook. He shoots too much… he plays out of control… he needs to defer to Durant… he looks like Nas dressed like Steve Urkel… etc. But his gameday outfits have become the talk of the  these NBA Playoffs. Westbrook’s latest get-up featured a pastel yellow shirt adorned with teddy bears rocking snazzy little outfits of their own. At this point, what else can you say about Russ except that he’s brave — with his style and his shot selection. We’re just not sure if he is a trendsetter or a trendstopper.

In related news, Craig Sager asked Kendrick Perkins Jr. why he dresses like Russell Westbrook during TNT’s Inside the NBA. Yes, of all people, Sager is the one asking other folks about the way they dress. For some reason, nobody asked Westbrook why he dresses like Sager. In all seriousness, both Sager and Westbrook have their own personal style, and their flare makes the game more fun. You know, in that Walt Frazier or Dennis Rodman kind of way. Here’s the video…
