Presti and the Thunder will choose 28th overall in the upcoming NBA Draft after the Thunder had the third-best record in the NBA this season.

“The Pre-Draft Camp is another step in the evaluation process as we head into the draft,” Presti said. “We place a lot of value on the opportunity to sit down with a lot of the prospects and learn about them on a personal level as we determine who are potential fits for our organization now and in the future.”

The Thunder have a reputation for making great draft selections. Most of those great picks came early in the lottery though with Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, Russell Westbrook and James Harden.

Making great selections as you move further down the draft board is one of the next steps for this Thunder franchise to become a dynasty.

Serge Ibaka was selected 24th overall in the 2008 NBA Draft and the Thunder had to wait a year before he came over to the NBA. That was the Thunder’s best non-lottery pick so far.

Among the players the Thunder are projected to possibly select in this year’s draft are Royce White (Iowa State), Evan Fournier (France), Andrew Nicholson (St. Bonaventure), Jeffrey Taylor (Vanderbilt) and Marquis Teague (Kentucky).
