The injury was far from severe and the Thunder have no reason to risk any further injury for Jones by playing him in these games.

Jones was impressive in the two games for the Thunder this week. He scored 16 point and had eight rebounds on Monday then had eight points and four rebounds Tuesday.

Jones already has an elite NBA body and could crack the Thunder rotation this season as a rookie. He is 6-foot-11 and most comfortable playing the stretch-four position. He’s is athletic and strong enough to get a good amount of rebounds though and play defense inside.

Jones showed some range with a couple of nice jumpers this week and also showed a great ability to take his man off the dribble and finish on drives.

His potential is extremely high and he won’t need to reach it with the Thunder next season. He can certainly come in and contribute though and give the Thunder a little something they didn’t have before.
