]]> For the second time this season, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant was named the Player of the Month in the Western Conference.

In March Durant led the Thunder to an 11-5 record and averaged 27.6 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. Durant had a 40-point, 17-rebound game in the Thunder’s double-overtime win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Perhaps Durant’s best game was his 28-9-8 line against LeBron James and the Miami Heat in the Thunder’s 103-87 victory over the Heat.

Durant’s closest competition for the award this month was teammate Russell Westbrook and Kevin Love.

Paul Pierce won the award for the Eastern Conference.
