Thunder: Top five point guards in Oklahoma City history
By Tony Heim
2. Eric Maynor
This breaks my heart.
Maynor was on his way to a solid NBA career as backup point guard until he tore his ACL in 2012. Maynor made a comeback, but he was never the same; he was traded to Portland the next season.
Before his injury, Maynor was one of the most respected, young backup point guards in the league. He had a keen sense for knowing when to push the ball or slow it down, and he made everyone better around him. Although only averaging 15 minutes a game, he still dished out almost three assists and scored five points a game.
Maynor bounced around the league for one more season, but he never found another city to call home.
