Brodie Time:

Russell proceeded to set the the NBA world alight, inspiring and amazing millions of fans as he did so.

Russell finished the season with averages of 31.6 points per game (led the NBA), 10.4 assists per game (third in the NBA), and 10.7 rebounds per game (11th in the NBA, as a point guard). He got to the free throw line 10.4 times a contest (2nd in the NBA), and converted on 84.7 percent of them.

Further, at 52.9 percent, Russell had the second highest assist percentage in the league. He was 9th in the NBA with a defensive rebounding percentage of 27.2. Once again, I remind you, the man is a point guard. In addition to leading the league in scoring, Westbrook also led the league in 4th quarter scoring at 10.0 points per 4th quarter. Further, nobody in the NBA was better than Russell Westbrook’s 6.2 points per game in the clutch.

In addition to his 10.4 assists per game, Westbrook was also second in the NBA with 19.6 potential assists per game. Not only that, he was third in the NBA with 23.8 assisted points created per game.

All of this adds up to Westbrook finishing the year with the highest Player Impact Estimate in the NBA at 21.3.
