Final Take

These trades are strictly hypothetical, especially the multi-team trades that exceed three teams. However using the information available on what teams supposedly want to do, these scenario’s adhere to those speculated goals.

More from Thunderous Intentions

Naturally with Oklahoma City, fans understand Presti’s goal is to acquire young talent to surround OKC’s core of Steven Adams, Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Andre Roberson.

The acquisitions of Abdel Nader, Hamidou Diallo, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot with Terrance Ferguson suggest the Thunder are stock piling young wings.

Teams like ones involved in each scenario are trying to move contracts to clear jams at certain positions.

As it stands, it appears Presti is satisfied with the franchises body of work in free agency.

Oklahoma City generally enter the season with 14 guaranteed roster spots therefore it is likely a trade will revolve around what comes in must go out.

Having an empty roster spot allows flexibility at the deadline should OKC acquire a veteran off waivers or in potential two for one deals.
