To have a player who operates within his means, never outside them, is rare.
For some, it is second nature to use the platform of professional basketball to their advantage. They use this exposure as a way to show off who they are, or what they can be, the latter of which sometimes manifesting as public snafu.
Grant is a player who knows his weaknesses and doesn’t try to conquer them in the game. He sticks to the ways he knows he can help his team: being an alert defender and getting smart looks at the basket, despite the work it takes to get them. Players like that are hard to find.
Players like that don’t grow on trees.
