OKC Thunder 3 takeaways of Knicks oust include depth, shot selection, City Edition jersey debut
New ‘City Edition’ uniforms:
More from Thunderous Intentions
- Stealing one player from every Southwest Division team for the OKC Thunder
- Should the OKC Thunder chase after a disgruntled hometown hero?
- 3 OKC Thunder players who can step up in Aleksej Pokusevski’s absence
- Aleksej Pokusevski sidelined approximately 6 weeks with ankle injury
- Damian Lillard does not fit with the OKC Thunder
Thunder nation finally got a first-hand viewing of the OKC Thunder City Edition jerseys. This was the first of several times the team will don this jersey in season. A far cry from the drab grey City Edition model of last season the blue, orange and white graphic version ranks among the very best of the 30 team City Edition jerseys.
From a personal perspective, I’d rank the OKC Thunder City Edition jersey in the top three. The other two are the Miami Heat – Miami Vice themed jerseys and the Minnesota Timberwolves Prince inspired jerseys.
Aside from aesthetics what makes the OKC Thunder version so compelling is the franchise is paying honor to the Native American history and culture of Oklahoma City. The tweet/video below form the main team website offers up more details on the jersey design and specifics.
Up next the OKC Thunder begins a three-game road trip with their second meeting versus the Phoenix Suns in the past five days.
