After sitting out of the NCAA this season all eyes will be on Darius Bazley in Vegas…when he actually plays.
A few of you eagled eyed Thunder fans, who surely read my article on an overview of the OKC Thunder roster before this deep dive, are wondering why there is an entire slide to Darius Bazley. He is not even on the roster.
Well, that is easy. Darius Bazley is not on the roster…yet. The OKC Thunder traded down to select Bazley so he cannot be listed on the OKC Thunder roster until the trade goes through and moves can be made official on July 6th.
Darius Bazley was the OKC Thunder first-round pick in this year’s NBA Draft, and after skipping college ball to take on a one million dollar internship at New Balance, we have not seen Bazley play organized basketball since his high school days.
He will be thrust into the NBA Summer League and face an assortment of players ranging from coveted prospects to old veterans trying to cling to one last vestige of an NBA career.
All eyes will be on Darius Bazley this summer to see how much he progressed while only focusing on basketball for the last year while interning at New Balance.
