Youngsters shine in first OKC Thunder Summer League win – 3 takeaways
By Rylan Stiles
The two possible two-way guys played extremely well for the OKC Thunder in game two of Summer League.
Let’s start with the player who for sure has earned a two-way deal with the OKC Thunder.
Luguentz Dort, an undrafted rookie from Arizona State University earned a two-way contract from the OKC Thunder already, and he has shown he deserves it in the first two summer league games.

Dort posted 15 points, on 50 percent shooting from the floor, but went 0-of-3 from deep. He attacked the rim relentlessly, and would not be denied. It is clear he truly did admire Russell Westbrook’s game.
Dort pulled in three rebounds and knocked down all three of his free throw attempts.
He will quickly turn heads in Oklahoma City, and might just be a diamond in the rough.
For Kevin Hervey, he logged 29 minutes and turned in 17 points while grabbing a jaw-dropping 17 rebounds, leading the team in both categories. While he only went 1-for-8 from deep, his shooting stroke looked pure especially given his size.
Hervey played extremely well for the OKC Blue a year ago and is heading to be their leading bucket getting this year if he so chooses. However, if he continues to play at this pace, he could find himself on a two-way deal with the OKC Thunder, or any other franchise in the NBA.
Up next, the Summer Thunder will be taking on Croatia on Tuesday afternoon.
