Losing is taking a toll on Beal who finally stopped basking in his big contract to ponder what staying in Washington for the next several seasons might mean to his career.
There is no denying Beal is a superstar with a toolbox full of goodies. But, for as much fun as the Wizards were having early via multiple games of 120 plus scores that feeling wears thin as the losses mount.

This week Washington played two games but even their offense struggled. Some of their injured parties returned. Beal, Davis Bertans and Thomas Bryant were all back in the mix although Jordan McCrae injured his ankle in the Raptors match.
John Wall continues to put up shots and get in practice sessions but the Wizards aren’t about to lose the $30 plus million they’ll collect from the insurance company to play him especially when it wouldn’t guarantee the Wizards would be much better or reach the playoffs even if he played
