San Antonio Spurs:

If only the Spurs schedule had been different perhaps they would have approached the final seeding game with a different mindset. As it was they knew even before the tip against the Jazz that they had no shot of making the play-in tournament.

Still, unlike the Pelicans and Kings, the Spurs took advantage of their opportunity and almost pulled off their goal. This in spite of LaMarcus Aldridge having season-ending surgery and Derrick White getting injured in game seven.

That the Spurs won’t make the postseason for the first time in 22 years is mind-boggling.

 Seeding Game Results:

Spurs 129 – Kings 120
Spurs 108 – Grizzlies 106
76ers 132 – Spurs 130
Nuggets 132 – Spurs 126
Spurs 119 – Jazz 111
Spurs 122 – Pelicans 113
Spurs 123 – Rockets 15
Jazz 118 – Spurs 112
