Cleveland Cavaliers (21-41)

At one point this week the Cleveland Cavaliers had moved into a tie with the OKC Thunder for the fifth best odds to win the top draft pick.

Despite two losses this week to the Raptors and Magic, the Cavs have moved back into sixth while OKC maintained the fifth-best odds. They are only a half-game back of OKC but don’t seem as invested as some of the bottom seeds who are actively tanking.

Perhaps that is because the franchise has a solid young core and is focused on developing winning habits. They’ll be in tough this weekend though with matches against the Wizards and Heat — both teams who are laser-focused on winning.

In fact, of the 10 games remaining for the Cavaliers, seven are against teams currently seeded seventh or higher. The other three games will be equally competitive with two against the Wizards and one versus the Pacers.
