OKC Thunder 2021 NBA Mock Draft – the new era reformulation begins
Several players could land here including Usman Garbuba or Trey Murphy III but by virtue of Corey Kispert sliding down outside the lottery, Washington simply won’t be able to afford to let him pass by.
Part of the issue was Kispert had some lackluster workouts (Pacers) which likely raised questions. A poor showing on one day is one thing, but because the Bulldogs played an easier schedule than most of their NCAA counterparts perhaps it’s leaking over into the assessment of their talents.
Considering the lack of buzz around Jalen Suggs it might be something all the Gonzaga players are dealing with.
Still, in this 2021 class, Kispert is considered one of the best perimeter shooters (44 percent on 6.5 attempts per game) but isn’t limited to standing in corners. Kispert can also score off the dribble, has decent ballhandling skills, and plays with a bit of grittiness on defense.
With so much uncertainty in Washington surrounding the futures of Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal it would behoove Tommy Sheppard to bring in a player that can contribute immediately – – Kispert can do that.
