Prior to the preseason, I wrote how this was an important preseason for the Oklahoma City Thunder, noting that they had a new coach, which meant a new system, plus a returning Kevin Durant.
Well, the preseason is over and it’s safe to say that the team passed every test.
Aside from a game against the Memphis Grizzlies in which OKC’s top four players didn’t play, the Thunder breezed through the preseason. They didn’t have the toughest schedule, playing three non-playoff teams from last year, Dallas, and a team from Turkey, but they won every game by double digits and answered plenty of questions heading into the season.
