Thunder handle Trail Blazers on Super Bowl Sunday

After beating Memphis two nights before with a 15-0 run himself in the final three minutes, Westbrook scored 19 of the Thunder’s final 22 points, finishing with a tidy 42, his eighth 40-point game of the season (tied with James Harden for the most in the NBA).”

So it turns out the Thunder CAN win Sunday home games @Jeremy Lambert. Despite their best efforts, the Thunder were not able to stop Russell Westbrook from leading them to another victory in the Peake. He had 20 points in the fourth quarter on 6-9 shooting, finishing with a tame 48-8-4. The MVP discussion is heating back up again…

Ahhhh to be honest with you I’m so happy football is over. Now I can devote ALL my attention to basketball. Tonight should be a very good matchup in Indianapolis; the Pacers are winners of six straight while OKC has their own two-game win streak on the line. The first time these team’s played was without Paul George and well, Indiana destroyed us. Hopefully the Thunder come out with a little more fire than they did last time.

Sunday was a game full of highlights. Who would have thought Andre Roberson would be providing one of those highlights all by himself? I mean that looked like a formidable NBA drive! Now we know Roberson has the ability to take it to the hole and finish, but it’s up to him to actually believe in himself.

Is it crazy to say I enjoy this play more than the Shammgod earlier in the season? I mean the Shammgod was nice, but look at how he literally turns Al-Farouq Aminu in a complete 360 degree turn. Aminu is a defensive stopper, yet Russ made him look like Alex Abrines trying to defend Kyrie Irving. Now that’s something special.
