Welcome to Thunderous Intentions. If you’ve been following this tournament, you know the deal by now. We’ve finally made it to the OKC Thunder Song Finals. Praise Westbrook.

After three long weeks, we’ve finally made it. The Championship Poll to crown the first (and probably last) Official Oklahoma City Thunder song. Who made it to the finals of the OKC Thunder Song Tournament? I know the suspense is killing you.

1. Thunderstruck (AC/DC) vs. 5. Thunder in the Night (Elton John)

Thunderstruck has breezed through this tournament and their semi-final match-up with the relatively unknown Elton John classic proved to be no challenge. AC/DC rocked out with 87 percent of the votes.

2. Thunder Rolls (Garth Brooks) vs. 6. Thunder Road (Bruce Springsteen)

The top two seeds were the top two seeds for a reason. Thunder Rolls didn’t have the margin of victory that Thunderstruck enjoyed, but the song handily defeated Thunder Road by a score of 66-34.

That sets up a one vs. two showdown in the Final. Will the heavy favorite continue their UConn like run? Or will the country story of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant pull off a monumental upset?

Did you hate the refereeing in the National Title game? Me too. Luckily for us, there are no referees in this poll. The power lies strictly in your finger. Have you enjoyed Russell Westbrook and his historical season? Me too. Russell Westbrook would definitely want you to vote in this poll. Don’t believe me? Why not? Do you love the OKC Thunder? Me too. This poll is very important to their history. It settles the age-long debate; what is the greatest song about Thunder of all-time? You’ve watched history all season. Now is your chance to be part of it. All you have to do is vote.

The winner will be announced on Monday. That means you have all weekend to tell your friends to be part of history. Convince them that this is the most important thing they’ll do all weekend. Tell them that, by voting in this poll, they are changing the course of history for the greater good. Waste no time. Thunder Up The Vote.
