In short, things are getting more bleak by the second for Oklahoma City. Every game in which they aren’t catching the 8th-place team, be it the Suns or the Pelicans, is just another nail in the coffin. Wednesday night’s loss to the Knicks wasn’t a death stroke but it was pretty close. If the Thunder can’t get back on their feet soon (like as soon as Saturday against Memphis), they have little hope of catching a team like the Suns or the Pelicans. The Thunder must win seven of their next 10 games or the season will end without a playoff berth.
The clock is ticking in Oklahoma City. Hopefully they figure it out.
