There’s plenty of basketball to play in that time period and the Thunder’s chances of making the playoffs are dwindling with each passing day. Three weeks puts Adams out of action until March 2 at the earliest although, if all goes smoothly, he might return just a bit sooner than that (the whole cyborg-thing, y’know).

Thankfully, the All-Star break kicks off after a matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies on February 11; the Thunder don’t return to action until eight days later against the Mavericks (Feb. 19). For the sake of argument, let’s say Adams might be available by March 4 against the Philadelphia 76ers. He would miss a total of nine games, including an appearance in the Schick “Rising Stars” game and a March 1 contest against the Lakers to start next month.

So how do the Thunder adjust without Adams for those nine games?
