OKC Thunder: Top 5 Potential Trades Before the Deadline
Honorable Mentions
Pistons trade: Greg Monroe and Joel Anthony
Thunder trade: Kendrick Perkins and Reggie Jackson
The only way that I could see the Pistons doing this deal for this season is that despite having Brandon Jennings at the point, his season-ending injury creates a hole in their lineup. They need a guard like Jackson to help out D.J. Augustin and the Pistons offense. Also, seeing that Monroe might walk anyways at the end of the season, it could be a chance for Detroit to steal a first or a few second round picks out of the Thunder.
Timberwolves trade: Mo Williams
Thunder trade: Reggie Jackson and Ish Smith
Mo Williams has been rumored to have been on the trading block nearing the deadline and a veteran point guard who can shoot could be exactly what the Thunder need to make a late season run into the playoffs and further. They would have to give up Jackson who they could afford to trade for Williams.
Celtics trade: Brandon Bass and Phil Pressey
Thunder trade: Anthony Morrow, Reggie Jackson, and Ish Smith
The Boston Celtics are well-known sellers at this years deadline. They want to get rid of as many verbenas salaries and contracts as they can. They are in full rebuild mode. The Thunder could take advantage of this and take a quality big man like Bass to help their bench and inside game. OKC would have to give up Morrow and Smith along with Jackson so they would be losing quite a bit in this trade but Phil Pressey would at least make up for the loss of Smith.
