Thunder trade: Kendrick Perkins, Reggie Jackson, and Ish Smith

There was a recent trade rumor stirred up by OKC guard Ish Smith when he tweeted that he would be a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. Who knows if the tweet was true or not but it wouldn’t be a bad trade for either team. It would actually make a lot of sense. 

If the Thunder could dump Perkins’ salary along with trading Jackson and getting a quality big man in return, it could be one of the best trades of the year. Jordan Hill is a good rebounder and offensive big man who can also bring some energy into the team’s line-up. He would be a huge improvement to the already lethal bench or Hill could possibly take the role of Steve Adams in the starting center position. If the Thunder could acquire Hill they could finally have the low post scorer that they have always needed.

The Lakers wouldn’t be getting the short end of the stick in this deal either. Jackson could be the point guard of the future for them. If they could re-sign him in the offseason it could be a potentially huge move for their rebuilding process.
