Schedule: at Los Angeles Lakers (Mar 1, W 108-101); vs. Philadelphia 76ers (Mar 4); at Chicago Bulls (Mar 5).
Week one is a great chance for the Thunder to start March on a good note. Even without Westbrook and Durant, they managed to beat the Lakers at Staples Center. The Thunder has three days off before they have to take on Philadelphia at home. The 76ers traded away reigning Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams at the trade deadline, which has made this bad team even worse. According to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Westbrook is expected to play against the Sixers which means this should be a routine Thunder win.
Oklahoma City’s schedule toughens up at Chicago to end the week. Playing the Bulls on a back-to-back will not be easy, but they will benefit from the absence of Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler. Westbrook will be able to take advantage of the short-handed Chicago backcourt. Prediction: 3-0
