Kevin Durant’s Greatest Moments with the Thunder
By Ben Bundy
In a recent interview with Revolt TV, Kevin Durant said that he would love to stay with one team for his whole career and have his number retired with the Thunder. This was some much-needed positive news regarding the reining MVP in a season full of tragedy and set backs.
"I love it here, man. I love my teammates, I love the city, I don’t really think about anywhere else. I hear it all the time, don’t get me wrong, and once you hear it you’re kind of like [looks up, thinking]. But for me, I love staying in the moment, and I’m one of those guys that would love to stick it out with one team my whole career. I love it here and I would love to get my jersey retired here."
We have all heard over the past few months that plenty of teams would be after Durant during next season’s free agency, but it now seems like KD isn’t planning on going anywhere. As Thunder fans, we all know how much he has meant to this team, and just how important it is for the franchise to keep him in Oklahoma City. The recent interview makes it sound like we can expect another eight years or more with the team out of Durant.
With all that being said, I thought it would be a good idea to take a look back at Durant’s greatest moments with the team up to this point. More specifically his top eight moments. Why eight you ask? Well, because Durant is number 35 and 3+5=8. Yes, I’m aware that’s a little cliche, but I thought I would stick with the Kevin Durant theme as closely as possible. So let’s get started.
