6. 54-Point Game vs. the Golden State Warriors

Basketball has always been a sport dominated by scoring, whether it’s Wilt’s-100 point game or watching Kobe go for 81 against Toronto. Having a handful of high scoring games is something all the greats have done.

Durant joined this group on January 17, 2014 when he went out and dropped 54 points on the Golden State Warriors. During the game Durant was 19-28 from the field, including 5-of-9 from 3-point range and 11-of-13 from the line. The number was good enough for the second best single game scoring performance is Sonics/Thunder franchise history.

At only 26-years old, there are sure to be many other impressive scoring performances to come his way. Maybe even one that ranks among the most impressive of all time. He definitely has that potential.
