Kevin Durant’s Greatest Moments with the Thunder
By Ben Bundy
5. All-Star MVP
Durant has been a consistent member of the Western Conference’s All-Star roster for the past six years. That alone is a special accomplishment, but Durant’s greatest All-Star accomplishment came in the 2011-12 season. In this memorable game, KD went off and had one of the best box scores in recent All-Star history. He tallied 36 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
Now I know that many players have won the All-Star MVP and never really matched that success again. Durant is not one of those players. Not only has he scored 30+ points in four different All-Star games, but he’s also the leader in points per All-Star game at 26.0 points per game.
He is on pace to become one of the greatest All-Star game players in the history of the league. With six appearances in only eight seasons there is no telling how many more trips are coming his way.
